For some reason, when i go on a onsen family trip, i always end up @ hakone. This time, i was finally able to convince them to go somewhere else- nikko. After 3 hours of blogging and researching, i decided to go to 千姬物語溫泉旅館. Booked this place for 27th night. This place are known for it's beauty and excellent services.
Now. Transportation.
i got the cheapest 2 day nikko pass for 2600 yen, we got the ticket at asakusa station. The good thing about it is that it's cheap, but the bad thing about it is that it takes almost two hours to get there. Needless to say, we were all pretty unhappy with the long ride. The seats weren't that comfortable to start with, and man! it's just wayy too cold.

I managed to sneak in at a time when no one was there, so i took a couple shots of the bathing area.
The lady walked in and made our bed....
Overall i loved my experience at this place! Whether it's the food or the onsen experience! I loved the hot springs here because the tubs were huge and they had one milk hot spring , rock hot spring, and some massage hot spring outdoors. In doors they had this showering place filled with interesting shampoos/conditioners, and a hugeee hot spring tub!
